NET Health Assessment

Identifying Emotional Components of Health Using NET

Looking Beyond the Symptoms

As a naturopath who also practices energy psychology, I do not “diagnose.” Instead, I consider myself a detective looking for the root causes of the conditions that show up in my practice.

I first look for emotional components that may be contributing to a health concern and then explore other possible factors that may need attention.

Understanding NET

One of the first meridian-based techniques I studied and began applying in my practice years ago is NET, or Neuro Emotional Technique.

This hands-on, practitioner-based approach was developed by Dr. Scott Walker, a chiropractor and practicing scholar in applied kinesiology, acupuncture, and related fields. The protocol has been taught to licensed health practitioners worldwide to help determine whether a physical issue may be associated with emotional, biochemical or nutritional, chemical or toxic, or structural factors.

Using techniques such as muscle testing, meridian point holding, and point tapping, a practitioner can identify areas that may need attention and determine an appropriate treatment approach or referral.

The Home Run Formula

Dr. Scott Walker, an avid baseball fan, refers to this process as covering the bases of the “Home Run Formula.”

Using this thorough and easy-to-perform assessment, a practitioner can generally identify potential contributing factors and then treat or refer for appropriate care.

Emotional Factors

Emotional concerns may be addressed through the NET emotional clearing protocol or by referring to an energy therapist.

Biochemical & Nutritional Factors

The body can be assessed for specific nutritional needs, with referral to a nutritionist or naturopath when appropriate.

Chemical & Toxic Factors

Potential allergens and environmental factors can be identified, along with possible lifestyle changes or supportive approaches. A specialist may be recommended when needed.

Structural Factors

Structural concerns may require referral to a chiropractor for appropriate care intended to support nerve flow.

Assessing Your Needs

When I see a client or patient in my office, I can utilize the Home Run Formula using NET and address emotional or toxic components or refer appropriately based on the individual's needs.

When I work with someone by phone or Zoom, I can still use a form of NET with another helpful tool: the Online Wellness Check assessment.

I ask my clients and patients to complete this short subjective instrument as part of their initial history and periodically update it. The assessment can help identify meridian channels or areas that may need emotional or homeopathic support and help determine the body's priorities for treatment.

The NET Wellness Check

As an experienced NET practitioner, I am privileged to use the NET Wellness Check instrument to help understand what is happening within the body's energy system as it corresponds to the NET treatment protocol.

The results can help me discern the body's own priority order for addressing the issues identified through the assessment.

More About the Wellness Check

Use the Assessment

The NET Wellness Check can provide a starting point for understanding which areas may need attention. Once your assessment is complete, we can discuss your results and determine the appropriate next steps.

I look forward to talking with you then.
